There is a piece of galvanized sheet metal on the back. The top is for placing mail into the box. There is an area for you to install a very small padlock which is included. This does feature two magazine Metal hooks that install/snap into the bottom of mailbox to secure magazines and newspapers. 3 screws are provided for installation (one at the top and two at the bottom). This would be a great option for you if this is going to be used responsibly, this will make for a great mailbox. Padlock included. Feature to the top flap will help drive rain away. Will Not: Dent, Chip, Peel, Discolor. Size: 6"W x 12-1/2"H x 2"D. Approved by US Post Office.
