The Model 98250 is a rechargeable battery for the Motorola Model MT7711 Cable Modem/Router/Phone Gateway. The Model 98250 battery allows the MT7711 gateway to continue providing Comcast XFINITY telephone service during a power outage. Once installed, this battery may take up to 24 hours to fully charge. It will remain charged while the modem is plugged in to working AC power. The battery light on the MT7711 will blink while charging and when fully charged. When AC power is lost, a fully charged battery will provide 8 hours on standby, or 5 hours of active call "talk time". During AC power loss the Model 98250 battery allows continued operation of the Comcast XFINITY telephone service only. Model 98250 does not allow continued Internet access during a power outage.
