Does this case support a CD/ Blu-Ray Drive?

I believe it does support CD/blu ray drive, I built my brother's computer and used this case because I trust in corsair products and I'm sure they wouldn't leave out a spot for a Cd drive. Now I don't use Cd drives in my computers but there an open spot for a Cd drive, it is located in the front of the case at the top. When you look at the picture of the front of the case there you will see 2 flat spots near the top these to spots can be remove and you can put a Cd drive in one of them.

Yes, it's on the top, in the front. I've never seen a case without a power botton.

It does not have a removable filter but does have a pretty fine screen for dust.

How many extra fans do I NEED to buy? I can't find how many come with it.

as far as I see it. spec 1 comes with 1 fan. spec 2 comes with 2 fans and spec 3 with 3 fans. I bought the spec 2 and it was enough fans
 one in the front with red LED 
and one in the back

yes, i fit the r9 280x tipple fan oc one, and theres plenty of room in there. tripple fan cards are very very long

Will a MSI GTX 1070 fit in this?

Used to have one of these with a r9 380 in there.  It was pretty snug.  Do not know know the exact dimensions of either the spec 2 or the 1070 but I would guess if it does fit, it'll be really tight and hard to work around. Sorry I cannot be more helpful

I've noticed there's a red bit of LED on the top, can that be replaced for say a blue LED?

The only LED on top is the disk activity light, it would be pretty hard to replace since its wired in (I had to replace one of these on an Antec case and had to go to the manufacturer to purchase the wiring harness with LED).  Even getting to the top panel with on/off switch, USB ports, etc. is difficult without damaging the case.  If you are talking about the red fan in front, yes, that can be replaced easily.

Will i be able to ground myself on this case?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  Install the power supply first with the switch in the off position.  Then connect the AC power cord and plug it into the wall.  From there put on your anti-static wrist band and connect the alligator clip to the metal case.  You can also screw in a metal stand off or something like that in the case and latch on to that which may be easier for the clip to hold on to.  This will provide a direct pathway to ground.
