Comments: This KVM works great. It easily switches KVM (only), or KVM+audio+USB by the hardware buttons, or each individual component using keystrokes. Works well with WinXP and Solaris (on a Sun Ultra 20 box).

Overall Review: This was used in a Zotac netbox (which requires the "laptop" size memory) as part of a FreeNAS server. This is not an exceptionally RAM-intensive use, so as long as the RAM booted up, then I am happy. I've always had good luck with Crucial memory.

Pros: This works well with Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, just add memory and a snappy SSD drive (or your favorite 2.5" mechanical SATA). Have also tested to use as a FreeNAS 0.7 (FreeBSD OS) server with a 500 GB 2.5" Seagate drive, while booting from an SD memory card.

Cons: Remember that this is a small form factor device with moderate performance specifications. It serves its purpose well as a general purpose PC, netbox, or NAS. For those who like to build custom PCs, the only options limited to RAM and SATA.

Overall Review: It includes everything needed to mount on the back of an LCD monitor, which is handy for a netbox style PC, which is one reason to choose thise instead of a generic small cases with ITX motherboards. It is hooked up to a 1920x1080 LCD at full resolution, so watching high quality videos should be a good experience (note - there is no DVD/Blu-Ray in the device, so you need to get content over network.

Seller generated shipping label for RAM on 6/19/2025. FedEx noted an exception on 6/24 that the item was never received from the seller. I contacted seller via Newegg seller contact form, and they promised that it would be resolved - "Please allow approximately 24-48 hours for new tracking scans to appear". As of 6/26, there was no additional contact by the seller, and no update of tracking information. I have requested a cancellation of the order. If they don't cancel, I'll need to contact credit card company to cancel the charge for an order not shipped.
