Similar to previous question... the scanner or wand to hear tones sent through cables... which piece is it? The small box doesn't look like a tone scanner or wand but must be.. is that it?

This tester does not have a toner. The small box that clips into the bottom of the main unit goes on one end of the cable and the main unit attaches to the other end of the cable. Press the test button and if the first 4 LEDs at the top light up green then the cable is good (the 5th LED is for the shield). If there is a problem one or more of the red LEDs on the side will light up.
