Does this unit support SATA III 6Gbps?

Yes it does. I tested it with C300, M500 and Samsung 840EVO with No speedloss at all. The tool-less installation works with crucial C300, however, for the 7mm SSD like 840, youll need to insert the SSD to the connector by hand. I prefer do it by hand to make secured connection so it is perfect for me.

Is it Mac Pro 2008 compatible?

Yes, it is there are holes on the bottom of the sled that align with Mac the 2008 pro drive caddy.

Does this product include mounting brackets to attach to the hard drive bracket?

This does not require mounting brackets. The plastic enclosure holds the SSD in a set of grooved slots and the top of the cover holds the ssd snug in place. This then fits the form factor of a normal 3.5" hard drive so that you can screw it into your normal computer case. Hope this helps. If you look at the product images there is a video under them that has the installation so that you can see what it looks like inside the device.

Does this product also include mounting screws?

They aren't really needed for the enclosure. It sort of works similar to a clamshell design. The SSD fits into a grooved slot and then the top holds the SSD in place.

1B is better, less plastic , more metal.

Can I use this one for my iMac 2010?

Yes, once you see it in Disk Utilities you can format it however you like. I would recommend format it HFS Journaled for best reliability on a MAC.
