Tripp Lite SMX500RT1U intelligent, line interactive rack/tower uninterruptible power supply prevents data loss, downtime and equipment damage due to power outages, voltage fluctuations and transient surges.
The SMX500RT1U USP maintains regulated 230V nominal output without using battery power during brownouts as low as 187V. Once encountering power failure, it provides immediate back-up power from the built-in batteries source. And the internal UPS batteries are field-replaceable and hot-swappable. Intelligent battery management system extends battery life.
This unit has one surge-only outlet and six UPS-supported outlets, with one single-outlet load bank for remote load shedding or rebooting of an individual device. The network-grade AC surge suppression safeguards your connected equipment against catastrophic surge events.
The SMX500RT1U USP supports simultaneous remote monitoring of UPS and site power conditions via built-in USB, DB9 monitoring ports, and SNMP accessory slot. It includes PowerAlert UPS monitoring and unattended shutdown software with complete cabling. Complete with user-friendly design and 1U rack / tower compatible form factor, the SMX500RT1U USP is the perfect solution for any power-sensitive electronic environments.

500VA/300 Watt Output Power
The SMX500RT1U UPS provides a 500VA/300 Watt of maximum output capacity, enough to keep the power-hungry system (such as networking, telecom, or other sensitive electronic applications) running during power outages.
Impressive Battery Runtime
The built-in large internal batteries offer runtimes of 14.6 minutes at half load (250VA/150 watts) and 3.2 minutes at full load (500VA/300 watts), so you have time to save files and protect data. The internal UPS batteries are hot-swappable, thus enabling continuous operation even when batteries are being replaced.
Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR)
Automatic voltage regulation (AVR) maintains line power operation with input voltage as low as 187V.
Up to Seven Outlets
This unit includes a total of seven IEC C13 outlets - six UPS-supported outlets with a single outlet that can be individually controlled via software interface to reboot select equipment on demand or shed less significant loads to extend battery runtime for more critical equipment, and one surge-only receptacle.

Network-grade AC surge suppression protects equipment from damage and performance problems resulting from transient surges and line noise.
Remote Monitoring
The SMX500RT1U UPS supports detailed monitoring of equipment load levels, self-test data, and utility power condition via built-in RS-232 and USB interfaces. PowerAlert UPS monitoring software enables detailed site power and UPS status updates with support for unattended shutdown of connected systems as UPS batteries become depleted. It also supports Tripp Lite's WatchDog software application to restore operation to locked equipment through soft reboot of application, OS or hard power off/on reboot of connected equipment, ideal for unattended kiosk applications. The built-in accessory slot supports network management card options, such as Tripp Lite's SNMPWEBCARD network interface.
Emergency Power Off (EPO) Interface with Cable
Emergency Power Off (EPO) interface offers option for instantaneous power-off of UPS and connected equipment in the case of fire or emergency situation.
User-friendly Design
Multi-function audible alarms and set of five front panel LEDs offer at-a-glance notification of UPS and line power status.
Easy Installation
The SMX500RT1U uses only 1U rack space in 2 or 4 post installations for a minimized footprint. The accessories are also included for upright tower placement.
