Fantastic
Pros: Incredible Performance jump from my i7-8700k Makes Windows feel abnormally fast and responsive, as if it knows what program I'm about to open before doing so.
Cons: AMD 7000 series platform is pretty expensive to upgrade to right now when factoring in the cost of having to upgrade to DDR5, along with an X670E Motherboard. This will probably change in the coming months.
Overall Review: It's been about 13-14 years since I said I'd never own another AMD product and I haven't until now because of the past experiences I had with the AMD RADEON 4000 series GPUs constantly failing and burning up but Intel kind of forced my hand on this upgrade since I did not want to deal with the Hybrid Core design architecture of Intel's 12th gen and upcoming 13th gen processors.
Potential Caveats To Be Mindful Of
Pros: One of the highest speed and lowest timing kits available for the AMD 7000 CPUs currently Available. No annoying RGB, if that's you're style.
Cons: EXPO Profiles 1 & 2 did not work and the RAM was not stable. Updated to the latest BIOS several times, even tried a BETA BIOS version which still did not work. If this happens to you, the fix I found was to up the voltages on DRAM VDD & Memory VDD from the rated 1.35v to 1.36v or 1.37v until it is stable. You're mileage may vary so to speak. My kit is now perfectly fine once the voltage was upped by 0.02, which should be fine but I am by no means qualified to say whether it is safe but it's only 1.4% above the rated EXPO voltage of which it is stated to run at.
Overall Review: Solid kit of ram overall, once the issue was addressed. I unfortunately had the same exact issue with some DDR4 Corsair Dominator RAM I bought back in like 2017-2018 which was addressed by upping the voltage by the smallest amounts possible until stability was reached. Latency out of the box without the EXPO settings was sitting around 110 ns. Once I got the EXPO setting working after upping the voltage, it's sitting at around 61-63 ns of latency which is among the lowest I've been seeing on AMD Ryzen 7000 series platforms.
