Rough start, but solid performance for HTPC jukebox
Pros: The features were actually quite a bit more expansive than I was expecting. Setup was a bit rocky and took me the better part of two days to transfer my media to empty out the drives (need to toss empty drives in this NAS box). I have all 4 bays full using JBOD providing storage of my digital content for 2 HTPCs and a Plex Media Server (for Chromecast). "Streaming" very high bitrate media from this thing is NOOOO problem. My stress test was roughly 4 different 20gb MKV files. Casting from the Plex Media Server to Chromecast (while playing a file on that pc as well) whilst streaming to the two HTPCs I was thoroughly impressed there was no bottlenecking and everything streamed just fine. 2 NIC's for load balancing works great if you setup the balancing elsewhere. The USM/ USB 3.0 "one-touch" backup is EXTREMELY convenient. Going to save me money in the long run since I don't have to have a full blown media server running full time anymore.
Cons: Load balancing is TERRIBLE, don't even bother using it on the box itself. Split it up and manage it yourself. Definitely needs a firmware update first thing. The webUI is very sluggish until the update is performed. Firmware check doesn't work, manually check and you'll find a newer version. The USM/USB 3.0 "one-touch" backup option could use some retooling feature wise and it's a bit slower than a network upload. The scheduled power on/power off feature isn't very flexible. No file management from within the webUI.
Overall Review: All cons aside, I'm not the least disappointed I purchased this. Uploads are a bit slower than I'd prefer but as long as the down speeds are fast, who cares. The bundled backup software is basically Acronis 2011 Home Backup with some Seagate skins on it, but it gets the job done and it comes with 10 licenses (which never seem to get "used").
Not worth the hassle
Pros: Tracks amazingly well when paired up with my Razer Destructor mouse pad. Unboxing the mouse was pretty cool, a great experience. The color pallet for the LED lighting on it is a definite plus. Customizable, on the fly, DPI adjustment. Comfortable to small hands. I noticed a HUGE difference for the better in FPS gaming. Wireless and wired operation. Good range and no interruption so far.
Cons: -Battery life is nothing as advertised -Takes forever to charge -Software is buggy/sluggish -Customer service is lacking -Plugging/Unplugging CONSTANTLY -Had to reinstall firmware 3 times after 32 days of use
Overall Review: This will be my first and last Razer mouse, this whole experience has left me with a bad taste. I could see the value in the price if I didn't have at least 3 problems a day with it. I honestly expect more from a company that's "by gamers for gamers." Nothing but problems on day 32 of owning this. Battery life was ABYSMAL from the start but then stopped taking a charge (getting 4 hours of solid gameplay at most). Customer service told me to update the firmware to the wrong model Mamba (as I have a 2012), bricking my mouse (thanks for the 5 hour waste of time trying to deal with this Razer). I find myself unplugging it and plugging it back in CONSTANTLY (this has been the case on 3 different PCs). The software, to me, is embarrassing for something so high end.
Took a chance, so far so good
Pros: 1) It wasn't DOA 2) Pretty decent upgrade from my old 80gig Intel SSD 3) It hasn't died 4) Perfect size/price for an OS drive
Cons: 1) Tested speeds are a little less than advertised (seriously, which budget SSD's aren't) 2) No 2.5 to 3.5 tray
Awful, abysmal, terrible
Pros: Looks good, easy to setup, good throughput.
Cons: Have two of them for offsite VPN's and one is slowly dying, and the other one is right behind it. VPN has been working flawlessly up until a month ago. Now I get to waste an entire day provisioning 2 more VPN's. Junk, don't waste your time.
Wish I could afford two, but don't need it
Pros: For being the highest end gaming card I've ever purchased, I'm VERY impressed. Maxed out settings with every game I have and this thing doesn't even scoff at anything new.
Cons: It's blinking HUGE! But that's to be expected anymore out of a GPU that has any performance to it.
Overall Review: I wanted two for SLI at first but in hindsight I don't need another one haha.
Too much backlight bleed for my taste
Pros: Very decent picture, the image quality was better than I expected for not looking at the monitor before I bought it. Bought it for gaming and telecommuting.
Cons: To me this thing has TONS of backlight bleed top and bottom. If a dark/black image is displayed it's very distracting to see a white glow at the top and bottom inch of the screen. I have a different brand 24" LCD monitor at work and it doesn't have this problem. I thought I got a very good buy for the first 2 days until I watched a movie and noticed "the glow". Adjusting brightness settings doesn't help.
Overall Review: When there's bright images on the screen "the glow" is not as noticeable but now that I know it's there I'm constantly looking for it. Got what I paid for I suppose.
