A wonderful little mouse
Pros: Perfect Size, beautiful green lighting, loads of settings with Razer Synapse 2.0, fully customizeable, braided cord, perfect scroll wheel, zero lag after setting it up
Cons: Ambidextures design places my pinkie on an add part of the mouse, laggy first time using bluetooth
Overall Review: I upgraded this from a Logitech Anywhere MX that I had for years. I loved it. But the 2.4ghz wireless was messing up because of all the interference with the wifis around my house. So I needed something that would get away from that. I stumbled across the Razer Orochi when looking for an alternative. It was labeled as a gaming mouse, used Bluetooth, and was small in size. Seeing as how I like to play games on a laptop, this seemed perfect. Right out of the box I was really impressed. The mouse comes with a beautifully braided cord. The surface is a rough sort of non-reflective surface. It almost feels like wall paint. The size is just about the same as the Logitech. It is perfect for a claw grip users like myself. However, because of the build, my pinkie sits right on one of the outcroppings on the side, making it awkward, and will require me to get used to it. Plugging it into my computer was very easy. The cord plugs right into the top of the mouse and stays very secure. Windows 7 recognized the mouse and installed the right drivers with zero input from me. I went to Razers website and downloaded the software suite. That was also very easy to install and super easy to customize the mouse. After everything was installed and set up, I turned off the mouse, unplugged the cord, and turned on Bluetooth on my laptop. I turned on the mouse and activated the Bluetooth. It connected up instantly, and after a minute of installing (all done by windows again) I was ready to go! Well, almost. I was having some very bad stuttering / lagging with the mouse. It seemed to be very choppy when moving around on my screen or in games. I was really angry with myself for having thought Bluetooth could be used for gaming and was ready to pack it up and send it back. I plugged the mouse back into the computer using the cord, turned it off and back on again, and it was gone. Unplugged the cable, re-enabled the Bluetooth, and viola! The lag was gone. It was like using a corded mouse! I was so excited I might have actually danced a little bit. Now, after some tweaking with the DPI, it works amazingly. It is exactly what I wanted from a wireless gaming laptop mouse. Perfect. Well done Razer. You have just earned another life long customer. One final thought...After not using the mouse for a minute the mouse shuts itself off to conserve battery. And in order to turn it back on you have to click a button. It only takes a second for the mouse to turn back on and resync with the computer. Its not really a con, but it is something to note.
