Acer 27" 60 Hz IPS LCD Monitor IPS 4 ms DVI-D, HDMI, DisplayPort UM.HS7AA.001 S277HK wmidpp
Acer 27" 60 Hz IPS LCD Monitor IPS 4 ms DVI-D, HDMI, DisplayPort UM.HS7AA.001 S277HK wmidpp

Pros: 4K IPS 4ms Excellent color reprodution Bezel-less Excellent and robust design with metallic stand Above average sound versus other monitors and makes them a great addition to my wooden 2.0 speakers. They sound slightly better than my Samsung 27'' 2770HD LCD TV (Also 2x2W) HDMI 2.0 future-proof. Both, mini and regular display port options unlike other monitors that only offer one type. Hence, it can be used as a 4x input 4K TV. 49W power consumption but did not measure with a ''kill a watt'' meter yet. Price for an IPS panel with those specs.

Cons: Since I don't use it in a dark environment and to avoid eyestrain, back-light bleeding wasn't an issue for me. There is no USB ports but both ways, its better to directly use the PC's ports. While 60Hz is enough in most case for light gaming, 120Hz TN users will find it slower in fast-paced games such as BF4.

Tt eSPORTS Challenger Prime Backlit Gaming Keyboard
Tt eSPORTS Challenger Prime Backlit Gaming Keyboard

Pros: Nice design and 3 colors with variable intensities option Extra keys to the left, T1 to T6 which can be easily programmed

Cons: Center wheel does not control volume which was the main reason I bought this ;-( Light intensity can already be controlled with combinations and controlling volume with a wheel just like home theater systems would have been great. Maybe it can be done with a program or a driver? Top keys are not illuminated Removable front piece (lighted logo) for more space or better yet, making it empty to store small components/objects.

SAMSUNG 850 EVO mSATA 1TB Mini-SATA (mSATA) 3D NAND Internal SSD Single Unit Version MZ-M5E1T0BW
SAMSUNG 850 EVO mSATA 1TB Mini-SATA (mSATA) 3D NAND Internal SSD Single Unit Version MZ-M5E1T0BW

Pros: 1Tb and same price as regular EVO Similar speed as the bigger EVO and slightly better latency speed <0.1ms Smallest consumer 1Tb storage so far

Cons: Price? It heats more than a normal ssd. Its because 1) Warmer emplacement 2) No metallic insulation compared to regular SSDs. Had to manually format it and set it as secondary, otherwise, drive won't show up as its used as quickboost drive by Windows.

Update after testing Week 2

Asus Zenfone 2 Unlocked Smart Phone, 5.5" Black, 64GB Storage 4GB RAM, US Warranty
Asus Zenfone 2 Unlocked Smart Phone, 5.5" Black, 64GB Storage 4GB RAM, US Warranty

Pros: >64GB sdcard!

Cons: Not much but see my 6/9/2015 4:33:43 PM review.

Overall Review: This just an update for my 6/9/2015 4:33:43 PM review. Just to confirm that my sandisk 128GB SDcard worked perfectly showing up as 125GB! The 64gb limit is either the fact that 128gb are still expensive or it has to be formatted in FAT32. There shouldn't a problem detecting a 200gb sandisk sdcard too but only tried the 128gb so far. Finally, for fun, I plugged a 512GB USB key with OTG adapter and worked as 498GB free space. This phone surpasses all other phones and its own specs, Really?

MSI GP Series - 15.6" NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M - Intel Core i7-4720HQ - 8GB Memory - - Windows 8.1 64-bit - Gaming Laptop - (GP60 Leopard Pro-825 )
MSI GP Series - 15.6" NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M - Intel Core i7-4720HQ - 8GB Memory - - Windows 8.1 64-bit - Gaming Laptop - (GP60 Leopard Pro-825 )

Pros: i7 4720HQ 2.6-3.4Ghz ; Always get higher base frequency over cache memory. Upgradeable ram up to 32GB ; only 1 slot is currently used. Dual GPU efficiency ; GTX950M+intel 4600 interplay. Great software bundle with wattage sensors ; efficient Anti-glare 1080p thin screen. Solid keyboard and no empty spaces between keys so no need to worry about dirt under the keys. You can also control fan speed with the top buttons! Will get close to 6000RPM so use heaphones lol 120W Charger ; barely warm as the laptop uses 15w balanced, ~28w in Performance mode. Will bump to 58w with heavy load yet still half the PSU capacity. It will simply never reach 120w. My old laptop would reach the max 65w rated psu and is extremely hot to touch smelling plastic burn. A+ for the PSU! Great sound with sound blaster bundle. p.s: Lots of creative products have Realtek HD chips but with the provided creative software, sound is above average. Again, most people will use external speakers with physical equalizers. You can have 3 hard drives if the internal msata slot is functional as I did not try it myself yet. 1 Sata 1 mSata 1 Sata by replacing the dvd writer with HDD caddy. Good for multiple OS, Linux and Virtual Box. Getting tiny details there, but I like the rugged touch pad as it won't collect fingerprints and dirt/fat deposits as flat ones, much easier to use.

Cons: Locked bios! Why would an advertised ''Gaming Laptop'' has a locked bios, seriously? Its as limited as a Dell or HP, no option for setting ram speed so we are stuck at 1333mhz depending on the ram. Not even speaking about overclocking. No multimedia keyboard buttons , even with Fn function. Maybe an SSD? But with this price I can't complain. Anyway, nowadays warranties barely cover something. Most laptops break from drops, not covered, rather than internal cpu-motherboard failures which are extremely rare unless DOA.

Overall Review: Its advertised on the laptop sticker that there is a mSata port ; I found one near the WiFi card but its close to impossible to fit an SSD there as advertised. Will that slot work with PCI-E SSDs? Is it possible to unlock the bios with an update? Obviously, I expect no one to run this without an ssd. With the hdd replaced with a Samsung 840 Pro ssd and the addition of a Gskill 8gb 1600C9 ram (16Gb total) ; the laptop consumes 15w with balanced mode and 28w with performance mode which is very efficient! Slightly lower power consumption than my 5 year old i7 laptop yet more than 5x faster! Originally, I was opting for the 13.3 MSI 4810HQ but I am glade I chose this as the 13.3 have heating issues, only intel graphics and not mentioning its double price and under average battery. Simply, a 13.3 inch is not able to handle the heat of a 47w CPU. Also, you will get free windows 10 in July.

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3L 1600 (PC3L 12800) Laptop Memory Model F3-1600C9S-8GRSL
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3L 1600 (PC3L 12800) Laptop Memory Model F3-1600C9S-8GRSL

Pros: Fast, cheap and simply works. I was surprised to see this work with my single channel DDR3 8gb MSI GP60 4720HQ. The other stick is 1600C11. It did obviously not boot at the advertised 1600C9 but it ran at 1333C8 (both sticks) which actually matches 1600C11 or even better. Even-tough the msi laptop is listed as a gaming laptop, their bios is more limited than an hp or a dell! Unlocked custom MSI bios is not yet available for 4th gen Intel. Tried memset, setfsb and wasn't compatible. 16GB 1333C8 1.35v working flawlessly. My desktop also has GSkills ram, DDR3 2400C9. Desktop ~34k Gbps : Laptop ~20 Gbps bandwith. Keep it up GSkills!

Cons: None, laptop compatibility at advertised speed is an issue with most bios locked laptops.
