Compared with mechanical HDDs, the SSD's fast sequential and random read/write coupled with a SATA 3.0 interface make it possible to boot up the system in seconds, launch applications in an instant, and switch between tasks smoothly. The mSATA SSD has a caseless, PCB-only design, and measures one-eighth the size of a 2.5" hard drive. It supports Intel SRT (smart response technology), in which it acts as a high-speed cache to boost your operation, and is TRIM-enabled to maintain the performance after long-term use.
