does the receiver come with a remote?

Yes it comes with remote, am/fm anntena and ez/equalizer set up that you plug in to front head phone jack and center in the room. It automatically sets all your speakers. Pretty cool. Also has very simple manual. Heck of a buy!

can you play your ipod/iphone through the USB port?

I myself do not have an iPod, but you can purchase the "bridge" accessory. From my manual:  "your Avr includes a proprietary, dedicated connector for an optional the bridge IIIp docking station for the ipod or iphone. the bridge IIIp outputs analog audio to the Avr and is available as a source to Zone 2 in a multizone system."

7.1 discreet channels but i would look at a different receiver if i was you. I got one of these things because it was on supper sale and things sound not so great at somewhat loud volumes. I used to have and still use in another room a old HR AVR 320 (I got it 01 or 02) and it sounds a lot better :(   Hope this helps.

Will it tune HD Radio?

There is an internet radio option on the tuner which appears to be a source that is inactive as I have been unable to log into or get any information from them on how this option is suppose to work or how the channel they claim is available works. As far as typical reception I am unable without connecting and paying for an additional cable option to get reception in my area to use the standard am fm radio at all even with supplied antenna in my area. I have run the music from my hd converter box to the tuner and all works fine, some of those stations are hd.

Physical network cable only.  Harman/Kardon made a wireless "bridge" for this but you have to purchase it separately and I'm not even sure about its availability.

I enjoy this receiver.

Question 6

Does it have pre outs to run external 5 or 7 channel amplifier? I can't make it out in backside picture and don't see specifics in description.

Thanks, I meant for every speaker. I wish to use this for processing only. I have a 5 channel external amplifier needed to power my HT speaker setup. My previous Yamaha 665 was used like this but has been stolen. Just in search of a cheap Receiver used for the processor.

you can set the volume up separate for the mid surround from the rear surround and also set the delay. As well as the normal center front and sub if that's what you need to know

This AV is so far so good.But no blue tooth & sometimes when I changed TV channels so quick,it will become soundness and I need to reboot this AV by power off/ on then sound will be back.

Does multi-zone allow you to have music running in one room and the home theater going in another room at the same time?

Yes.  You can run a 5.1 setup in one room and run two additional speakers with different program in another room.  See page 60 of the English owners manual.
