Is the CPU power connector a 4 pin, 4+4 pin, or an 8 pin connector? It doesn't really specify and judging by the pictures it is a 4 pin, but I just want to be sure.

The CPU connected on this PSU is a 4 pin connector, please note that most motherboards with 8 pins can be powered by a 4 pin, but always double check with the manufacture of the board and CPU to make sure.

Is this compatible with a intel core i3 processor?

This should work in most PCs including those with i3 CPUs. However, these are about an inch longer than standard power supplies since they have 2 fans - one in front and one in back. I find they fit snuggly in some PCs and comfortably in most. On a rare occasion, they are too big. So measure your case first and see if it will fit.

Based on the specs I see here and on the web assuming you didn't upgrade much and you are using an older CPU as well this should be more than enough. I got this for my older system with a Socket 939. If you upgrade your graphics card is really the only time you will need to upgrade it higher than 400.
