Pros: Great power supply, I will be buying these again very soon. GREAT build quality, looking in the power supply reveals some large heatsinks, all the cables are tied tight and neatly with mesh tubing, high quality.
Cons: This whole obsession with ***everything*** having to have LEDs...If I could of bought this without the 2 blue led fans I'd be even happier. As it is when you turn off the lights in my room you could seriously believe a UFO was coming down.
Overall Review: It's nice to finally see some good build quality at a cheap price. This is powering a 2.7ghz AM2 Dual-Core with a GTS 250 video card, 1tb hard drive and it doesn't break a sweat.

Great for the money3/2/2011 6:07:28 AM
Pros: Great Value. It doesn't feel like a "cheap" unit although the price may seem otherwise. Most cables are plenty long enough. Fans are quieter than my video card fan, so I don't notice them. They do move a decent amount of air. Very happy with the unit as long as it lasts through at least the 2 year warranty.
Cons: Sleeving is very thin. It does the job of keeping the cables neat, but doesn't totally "black out" the orange and yellow cables underneath. This does make it more flexible than thicker cable sleeves, so maybe that's a plus as well.
All sata on one cable? This actually works out in my unique small form factor build, but most will probably find they need to break out an adapter for the optical drives.
Main 24 pin cable is shorter than most, but again this worked out great for me. I wouldn't recommend this for use in a midsize ATX case with a bottom mounted PSU. Probably won't be long enough.
The 8-pin cpu power connector is split into two 4 pin connectors, yet there is a separate 4 pin power connector on the same cable. Why split the 8 pin? Better yet, why even include the extra 4 pin? Just wastes a perfectly good zip tie.
Newegg site says 84% efficient, but box says 74%. Since it's not 80+ certified, I'm going to believe the box.
Overall Review: This is how the cable strands break down:
Cable 1: 20+4 main connector
Cable 2: 8 pin CPU power - 4 pin CPU power
Cable 3: Molex - SATA - SATA - SATA
Cable 4: Molex - Molex - Molex - floppy
Cable 5: 6+1 pin Graphics
Cable 6: 6 pin graphics
Pros: Good power supply if your on a budget. I have been running it for a month without a hitch voltage is good. Newegg as usual rocks with there quick shipping.
Pros: Price, 600w, 80% efficient, 1x6pin and 1x6+1 (8pin) x2 +12v rails. Blue LED lighted fans! :-) Ultra silent (No joke! my old psu was junk, it made enough noise to wake the dead! lol but this one, is sooo nice and quite!)
Cons: Cables are kinda short.. if you have a full tower, this won't work. I've got a mid tower, and it's just long enough to fit it all in..
Overall Review: I got this PSU in a combo with a Intel E5300 for $99.00 free shipping, no tax. I had a system with a Intel P4 2.93ghz and needed an upgrade. I Got this PSU to power my HD 3850 that was sitting around the house, as my old 450w would not power it.
This psu has some power, let me tell you. It's only $44.99 and it could power a GTX 260 or better i'd say!
My rig in which it powers:
Intel E5300 2.6ghz
2gb DDR2 800
HEC X-Power 600w
HD 3850 overclocked
Foxconn G31 motherboard (cheap, but get's the job done)
Windows vista home basic x64bit
Sony CD/DVD burner
Samsung 320GB sata hard drive
Samsung 80gb IDE hard drive
Some Mid-Tower case
So, this simple psu powers my rig just fine. If i build another computer soon, i'll be sure to look into this PSU again.
(btw, my rig plays all my games great! IE: gears of war @ 1920x1080 DX10, 4xAA 4xAF maxed out @ 48fps+ also plays UT3 maxed out at 50+fps and plays Rainbow Six vegas maxed out @ 60+ fps!) Great rig, Amazing PSU.
Pros: Provides all the power needed to upgrade two systems. Both powered up and ran great from the start. Testing showed all voltages stable, ran 24/7 4 days to stress test. Planning to order a 3rd for a second Kuma build.
Cons: The sleeving is a little stiff so its hard to work with in smaller cases (Lian Li, PC-6 series) and i changed some of the sleeving to UV so that it would make the inside of my cases nicer to look at and identify the different strands.
Overall Review: If you are upgrading your power supply you might want to measure the space you have. I had to remove the top fan in a Aspire X-Dream case. System 1: Giga MB, E8400@3.4Ghz, 2GB Balistic Tracer, 2-DVD, 143GB 15K SCSI, 9800GT. System 2: Giga MB, Kuma@3.2Ghz, 2GB Balistic Tracer, 2-DVD, 72GB 15K SCSI, 2-500GB SATA, GTX260. One other thought, as others have noticed the packing by the Egg and shipping by UPS has gone down hill. One of the shipping boxes had a rip/hole on one side but thankfully all contents were good and working.

Great for the price1/19/2009 4:22:39 PM
Pros: great voltage outputs, runs my Evga GeForce 9800 GT without a problem like the other person said, its great if your on a budget
Cons: none
Overall Review: the somewhat modular cabling is pretty nice, it keeps your case looking nice and keeps the air flowing
Pros: There are a few things you need to keep in mind when buying a PSU at this price level. The biggest is that if your system requires somewhere in the ballpark of 600w, then don't get this 600w powersupply. And that doesn't just go for this brand. Unless you're running a brand like corsair, abs, PC power and cooling (OCZ), and maybe Antec you should not expect the PSU to perform well under full load. There is a reason why this PSU costs this much money. I just used this for a budget PC for a friend and it's working great. But it's also only running an AMD duel core, a Radeon 4770, one HDD, and one optical. The output on each rail is stable and the power supply is running fine. Furthermore, this is actually one of the better brands of low-end power supplys and I'm confident that this PSU will run stable for several more years.
Cons: doesn't actually put out 600w stable. but i don't expect it to.
Overall Review: HEC is Compucase, you should have heard of that brand. They manufacture under a lot of other low-end PSU names.
