Is this an OEM drive, or retail packaging?  Need to specifically know if the manufacturer (WD) will honor the 3 year warranty or not.

I have the same question and possible concern as Ronald S. - I looked up Server Part Deals' profile here and it seems like they claim to support OEM warranties and I see several buyers' supporting that claim. This HGST Ultrastar should be a sound purchase based on their historical reputation and track record - but with HDDs you basically never know, and part of what you're buying with this particular drive is both the enterprise grade reliability /and/ the 5 year warranty to back that up. I feel comfortable enough to go ahead and buy some at the current price point today (Shell Shocker).
