I have a 4 year old Gateway NV59 laptop and am wondering if this drive is compatible?  I want to replace the 320 GB with a higher capacity and faster drive.  The laptop is mainly used as a desktop replacement.

As long as the laptop supports SATA 3Gb/s or better I don't see why not, also assuming it fits properly. You may want to double check with gateway or simply remove your current hard drive and read the current specs/examine ports. If your current drive is an older version of SATA its likely the laptop won't support a newer version and will run at a degraded speed. A drive with an older version of SATA may be cheaper.

I bought this drive for my PS3 and it works like a dream.

- It depends which tablet. Yes if it's a Thinkpad or Ideapad running Windows OS as a replacement internal drive.

Likely not the best choice to replace a solid state drive.

If used externally you'll need an external enclosure and your tablet will require a USB 2.0 or 3.0 port.  This is a fast drive so it's wasted on anything less than USB 3.0/SATA interface case.

Android tablets, likely don't have the  interface to connect a drive internally or externally.

The description of the product is correct.  Whether it will work with your PC  depends upon the specifications of your hard drive.

I went to the Dell website, and looked for support on your laptop, but apparently there are different configurations available within your PCs type.  On the website, you can enter your service tag, and that will give you more information.

If you are willing to open the laptop's hard drive bay, you can remove the hard drive and identify the drive.  (Remove power adapter and battery first, after shutting system down.)
Laptops generally use a 2.5" hard drive.  Older laptops used a PATA interface (parallel interface), whereas the newer ones use a SATA interface (serial interface).

If you have already determined that you need a SATA hard drive, this will work!

If the old hard drive is still functional, and you have a desktop, you may be able to copy "image" or "files" from old to new.  Hopefully you have a restoration CD/DVD set to re-install the operating system.

Most laptops use this size of hard drive. If you are going to replace this drive yourself, you should be able to take your old one out to confirm that it is a 2.5" drive. Unless the D630 is very old (like, 10 years or more, I think), it should have SATA connections. If someone else is going to install this for you, they can best answer your question, but my answer is very likely "yes"

Lenovo Thinkpad W520 has a few different versions. All of them can fit a 2.5" SATA hard drive. One model: 4284-4EU can fit 2 2.5" SATA drives. The reat only one. However there is also thickness to consider. 7mm or 9.5mm high. Some models can fit either. Easier to just take out the one you have and measure it. And look at the socket the drive fits in to determine which onea will fit. Most 2.5" SATA drive will likely fit.

Is this drive compatible with an Asus X502C? I need a replacement.

Check with your laptop manufacturer first.  Then check with the HGST website.   Some hard drive manufacturers provide a compatability chart.  I have found that most hard drives like this will work in a laptop as long as it is the serial ATA (which all newer computers are).  I installed this drive in a a Toshiba laptop computer and used the restore disks that came with it.  It works fine and is faster since it is 7200 RPM instead of the stock OEM 5400 drive.

Yes, it should. You may wish to do research as to the thickness of the original drive on your laptop as it may be too thin to properly fit.

From an electricaland software perspective, yes.  BUT if I read the mounting instructions correctly on the Dell site for the D630, this drive may be too thin.  I'm pretty sure you need to stick to 9 MM replacements.  From personal experience, I know that is the case for the Insprion series.
