What's the Max HDD size supported?

As a general rule, only enterprise and NAS class hard disks should be used in RAID 
configurations. There are no specific limitations or restrictions for non-RAID applications.    I can't claim to have tested all drives, but you should be safe with up to 10GB drives... refer to the highpoint compatibility list (on their website)  for any specific limitations.

what type of cables would I use for this card?  It does not appear to take standard SATA cables.

iStarUSA K-HD43XSA-50 1.64 ft. HD miniSAS SFF-8643 to 4x SATA Forward Breakout 50 cm Cable. Make sure you get the FORWARD breakout cable as the REVERSE cable is for connecting four sata ports into an sff-8643 backplane port.

hi I would like to know if this fits my MSI 236A Worstation Mother board? I already have a GTX video card on one of the slots x16 slots. Here are specs on my motherboard: (1 already used by GFX)

• 3x PCIe 3.0 x16 slots (support x16/x0/x4, x8/x8/x4 modes)
• 3x PCIe 3.0 x1 slots

Andrew your mother Board support  x16/x0/x4, x8/x8/x4 modes)(3.0) So you have your Main GTX Card in slot one would have speed set to 8x(3.0). Your RocketRAID card would be in Slot 2 OR Slot 3. In slot 2 The Raid Card speed is set to max speed of 8x(3.0). In slot 3 the Card is slow down to speed of 4X(3.0)=8x(2.0) which is fast for normal everyday use. With Slot 3 your Main GTX card get max Speed and your RAID Controller card get cut bye two 8x/2=4X! as long as your OS support by the Card you can used it with any  Motherboard!

Will this work with any HDD?
