Question 1

I have a Dell Precision T7500 workstation and want to install this card.  Everything that I have researched says that it will be compatible with my system.  I am running Windows 7 Professional.  Can you confirm compatibility?

Michael: I have this installed on a win7 Pro 64 bit OS. Installation was clean and too easy.  As long as you've got a spare PCIe slot of that size or bigger it should work just fine.

Question 2

I want to know if this card works with Windows 10 Pro?  So far three cards have fail in my Windows 10 pro pc.

That's a great question! You may know this but here's some starting info. Highpoint at a customer point of view is sub-par and were an oh-well kind of response. This means do all the homework and if you can get an email from them stating the card should work with an ok to return, I still say good luck.

To address the question I'm not sure. The claim to fame is each usb port has it's own HCI and from my research works great with Windows 7. One point of caution, if PCI-E is a designated for video the card will not work. My Dell has an AMD video card that will only accept a video card. My rookie mistake.

I would check with Microsoft, Highpoint, and your computer company unless you built your own.

Is it compatible with ESXi 5.5?

I think ESXI 5.5 is from VMware and part of the objective was to stream line the controllers and consolidate your applications. The only problem you may have is the speed of your pci-e port. OH, by the way Highpoint will be absolutely no help but they will have you jumping through hoops and it looks like help. I ran 3 virtual machines on my computer and transferred data to the LaCie HD with no problem. I was amazed at the speed difference.

The product id solid and will surely speed things up. If I remember this card has it's own controllers (for each USB 3 port. Follow the install steps if you have problems look at your on board controller for any conflict. I bought a LaCie Thunderbolt and finally got everything running smooth.

Is this card compatible with Mac Pro #MD771ll/A?

I contacted HighPoint tech support, and they told me that this card is compatible with OS X 9.x.x.  Further, it requires no drivers under this version of OS X.  I'll be ordering one next month.  I already have the CM and it has been a great card.  However some issues started to crop up after the release of OS X Mavericks.  I contacted HighPoint tech support and they stated that the 1144C works out of the box with Mavericks.  No drivers to install, and better USB 3.0 support.

Please please please someone with ESXi 5.5+ please tell me how many devices show up for this card when you do direct path IO? Some of the reviews make it sound like it will show up as 4!

I have a problem where I need to direct-path IO a USB interface to several VMs (ESXi shows my device as a HID so it wont let me attach it to the guest GRRR!). I don't have enough slots to do one card for each guest.

Is this card compatible with Mac Pro #MD771LL/A?

Victor, No the HighPoint 1144C is a Windows version card. For a Mac Pro you want the HighPoint RocketU 1144CM (note the CM in the model number) or the new 1144E. The new 1144E has two USB 3.O ports and two eSATA ports. According to HighPoint, both of those cards will work in the Mac Pro and will support Apple OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion. If you have Leopard or Snow Leopard, I believe you could also use the 2nd generation 1144BM card if you could find one, but the 1144BM would not work if you updated to a newer OS like Mountain Lion.
