Yes, that’s how I’m using it; 4x 960 Pro 2TB in Raid 0. I built a benchmarking script to test every setup possible (including mounting options) and get about 7-8GB/sec (big B) read, 5-6GB write.

How loud is the fan? Can you even hear it?

Yes you can here it. ITs annoying as hell. In a server room, you wont hear it, but if its a desktop, it's loud.

I wish.   I just returned mine.   I also can't use no intel drive or else I can only do their (hpt) raid 0 non bootable.   It will not do any other raid but 0 unless you don't use the (hot) driver and the. Ms soft raid.  This is not ready for prime time yet.  Do not buy IMO.   daz

Does the motherboard needs to support pci bifurcation for it to be able to see all drives? Can it work in a x16 (size) slot but with only x8 lanes

I am currently using an asus x99 ws 10g motherboard, they are traces on the cards pcb that link to pcie pins, so i would assume that 2 rear slots within the card will be disabled if you slot is oy pinned for x8.

Is this thing bootable in Windows 10 yet?

Kind of.... If you are using X299 chipset and buy a VROC dongle you can boot from it, however, if you use Threadripper the ability to boot from it in RAID is free. I am currently using 3 of these with 960 Evo's in Raid 10.
