Pros: Modular connectors are nice to have. It worked for a bit more than a year.
Cons: I bought two of these for two new computers in the summer of 2006. A month ago the first one failed. Then last week the second one failed. Looking on the internet I now see this is common with these units. I've since emailed and called the US branch but they're not responding.
