Does the device have built in Wi-Fi?

Yes built in WiFi and Bluetooth. Devices that use the Realtek RTL8723BS Wireless chip set all seem to have issues, not just HP, if you use the WiFi and Bluetooth at the same time. Do a Google search (hp stream wifi issues) and you can read all about it. For most it will not be an issue, but if you are trying to move high volume data and use Bluetooth at the same time it will be very slow with disconnects.

If my memory is correct, yes it does for one year. I uninstalled it and went straight to my preferred writer, Open Office, as soon as I got it and forgot about it, so it's entirely possible I'm wrong, though. Wait for someone else to confirm, but if you don't get an answer, assume it does.

Do I install any program supported Windows 8?
If possible, how do I load the installation file on the tablet?

Yes, the tablet has full blown win8.1, so regular windows apps work.

To add apps, it's easiest to download them from the website directly to the tablet over wifi.

If it's an app you already have on a hard drive or DVD/CD, then share the drive on your PC and use the pad to find the shared drive and install it.

To use the USB port on the tablet, you need a 'OTG' cable (basically a USB version of an ethernet crossover cable) to connect a USB drive to the tablet and install it from there.

I'm considering purchasing 3-5 of these for Nurses to use when conducting at-home assessments for patients.

Assuming all they would be used for is the web-based/offline versions of our Electronic Health Records system (which will not work with Android based devices at this time),  would this be enough?

While I really like this as a project computer or to travel when I an worried about theft or damage I would NOT recommend it for daily use.

It works but only when software is carefully chosen and expectations modest.

I am not a gear snob, but anything but super stripped down or hobby use with this would make for a lot of headaches.

Does it change the resolution to 800 x 600 of display mode? My program is optimized on that resolution. Thank you..

The lowest setting I could go to using control panel is 1024 x 768. FYI I like this tablet but only as a cool side machine. My phone is more useful, but to be able to have a basically functional windows machine that's this small is just cool. Modest expectations are advised.

i know that this tablet has a 64 bit processor, but does it have a 64 bit operating system or a 32 bit operating system?

According to this item on the Microsoft Store site, it comes with 32-bit Windows. With only 1GB of RAM, the benefits of 64-bit Windows is pretty limited anyway and 32-bit runs a little faster.
