Question 1

Can I use this memory for an HP Pavilion p6510f? I will either add this to the existing stock 4GB memory it came with or just replace the 4GB with the new KIngston 8GB. Thanks.

According to the product specs on HP's site (Google HP Pavilion P6510F and it should be the first link, there is a section about memory upgrade options) it looks like it supports up to4x4GB DDR3 memory sticks. Feel free to buy two and rock 16 GB of ram in your desktop.

Question 2

Is this RAM considered low profile?  Using a microATX case and CD drive is right over the RAM slots.  Have some G.SKILL with the heat sinks on and too tall.  Without the heat sink, I think they would work.   But, might be easier to just get these HyperX.

The sticks are standard DDR size, and I would expect that they would fit into the mico-atx box with your motherboard.  I put these in 3 micro-itx boxes with drives over the top, so unless the box is a very strange configuration, I wouldn't expect a problem.

Has anyone successfully installed these in a Dell Optiplex 780 system?

I put mine in an Asus motherboard.  Works fine.  I hope somebody else has tried it in a Dell.
