The HP DesignJet T650 is a 36-inch color inkjet large-format printer for offices and professionals producing wide technical drawings, plans, and other A0-size projects, with 2400 x 1200 dpi resolution, an included stand, and USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi Direct connectivity.
Recommended For
- Architecture and engineering teams that regularly print full-size CAD drawings or plan sets up to 36 inches wide, including mixed-size jobs from roll and sheet media.
- Small design, construction, or surveying offices that want to produce technical drawings and maps in-house rather than send wide-format jobs out.
- CAD and drafting users who need to print plans from tools such as AutoCAD and value accurate line weights, colors, and text on large sheets.
- Offices that print posters, presentation graphics, or occasional large renders alongside technical drawings, where wide-format output matters more than fine-art photo reproduction.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- An architecture or engineering team printing full-size CAD plans can review dimensions, linework, and color-coded drawing details on a single large sheet instead of relying on reduced office prints.
- A construction or fabrication office printing shop drawings as projects require can produce working sets in-house, rather than sending each large-format job to an outside print shop.
- A landscape or surveying team printing site plans and maps can view a larger area and its details together, making the print useful for project reviews and coordination.
- A school, office, or small business making presentation posters can print larger graphics on demand; for photo-heavy or color-critical artwork, a graphics-focused printer may be a better fit.
- An office alternating between wide roll prints and smaller sheet jobs can use the printer for both kinds of output, reducing the need to move those jobs to separate printers.
