Does it come with a Power Cord?

yes it does, but I had so many problem with the labtop and had to send it back.  I also had problem with the power cord which did not work well.  They had to send me a new one.  Not recommend buy used laptop!

Yes, can use USB port to pulg-in external DVD player. Has been a very reliable laptop, love its size - not too big for travel and not too small.... Back lit screen, etc. Bought a second one for my wife...

No it does not have backlit keys. None of this generation age of G-series HP laptops do (2017 era laptops). You need to move up in class series for that to even be an option.

I communicated with Newegg live chat support. Tech would neither confirm nor deny if this laptop comes with a backlit keyboard.

Windows Update said mine wasn't eligible for Win 11 because the CPU wasn't supported.

The HP EliteBook 840 G3 has a USB Type-C port, but it does not mention Thunderbolt support. For video output, it has a DisplayPort via a dedicated port.

Mine came and it is nice to have a new laptop (new to me anyways).  My only problem is that there are keys that don't light up.  Any idea who would support this?

It has a display port which is smaller than HDMI.  You can buy a display port to Hdmi cable or an adapter.
