Yes. The web cam does both. It doesn't have a rear facing camera. It comes with software already installed for the camera. Also you can upgrade to Windows 8.1 free which has other options.

I believe it comes with 2x4GB ram, based on the fact that that's how manufacturers almost always do it.  It's cheaper for them that way.

Yes, backlit keyboard which can be turned on and off with a hot key.  The keyboard is the best looking part of an otherwise "blah" machine.

It is just over 5 lbs.  What do you mean by "internal disk"? It has an internal Terabyte HDD (hard disk drive).  I dont know what the model is that you listed.  It didnt return any results in Newegg.  This is a great laptop though as I bought it two months ago.  It has everything you would need for the price.  You honestly cant beat it.  I study at Syracuse University majoring in information technology and I have a degree in computer and electronics technology.  This laptop is very very ideal for students.
