I have it installed on a Asus Maximus VI Hero board. Same brand, same chipset as the one you are asking mine just has a modified UEFI for overclocking. This Ram will work with any Z87 board

The memory should work, but to get it to work at 2400 your motherboard has to offer this setting and if you have any other memory in your system it has to support the same timings or you will have to pick the highest values to match all your memory.

For asus boards you should be able to go into the bios and set it to manual and the memory to docp.  Then another memory drop down should allow you to select the docp profile for 2400.

Under memory it support both 32gb and 2400.

The "cpu-world" website AMD-FX-Series
has detailed specs on the 8150.

The CPU has says ddr-1866 but I have the 8350 and I was able to reach 2400 with a 8350 and they are similar.  Worst case the memory works, but just not as high as 2400.

It is NOT on QVL of ASUS Maximus VI Formula. Can I put just 16gb (instead of 32gb) AND enjoy the max speed?

The specs for this ram are DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200). You can install four of them in that motherboard (it is compatible with DDR3 2400). You will benefit from the dual-channel RAM on the motherboard by making use of all four RAM slots automatically. The only way to fail to make use of the dual channel capability is to use only two sticks of RAM (and to put them into the same channel). You can overclock the RAM if you want, but that motherboard also supports other RAM (e.g. DDR 3100) that is faster (and more expensive). But if you use this RAM in that motherboard, you will get the full capability of the RAM.
