Will this case allow for tray hot swap modules, I use the Kingwin KF-813-BK mobile racks. And will it support 3 or 6 gb/sec e sata connections?

Not sure I fully understand your question, but here's what I believe you're asking -

1. The "tray" (not so much a tray) is a simple bracket like you'd get from a Dell hot-swap disk array, meaning it is only a bar runner on each side (a rectangle with out a fourth edge, also without a top or bottom), in essence setting each drive on top one another with very little space in between, if not touching.

Best example one could give would be - take five drives and lay one flat. Then take remaining four drives and stack them atop the base drive as if building a tower.. Only difference with actual item is a bar which runs only along each screw hole. That't it.

2. No, you have no e-sata/external connections at all.. All internal hot-swap disk.

Is this for external use?  How does it connect to the system?

No, this is NOT an external unit.  It is an internal unit that allows you to fit 5 HD's into only 3 front bays of a PC.  The unit mounts horizontally, and is connected by individual sata cables and three power cables.

What size drive can be used with this ?
I would like to use 4TB drives that are now available.

I have 4TB 3.5inch drives in mine...

Note, the picture shows the drives as being horizontal, and they are actually vertical.

I have 10x 4TB drives in my system using 2 of these Icy Docks.

does this install with the drives mounted vertically as shown in the MB155SP-B model? If not, can someone confirm if the photos are upsidedown? I have 2 of the "MB153SP-B 3" models and the drive latches open from left to right, not right to left as shown above...

I mounted mine verticao, had to bend some case supporters out of the way and it was a tight fit. Lever opens down and lights are on bottom.

What is the difference between this product and ICY DOCK MB155SP-BN? They seem to be identical, yet this product costs $20.91 more!! Why?
