Computex Taipei 2013 wrapped up last week with dozens of the world’s leading hardware manufacturers showing off their latest products, and some have made quite a stir with their new CPU technology, laptops and other gadgets. Here’s a round of some of the hottest products from the Computex show:

Chips
Both Intel and AMD launched their latest chips at Computex, Haswell and Richland. Intel’s Haswell processors will come in i3, i5 and i7 versions, like its predecessor Ivy Bridge. Aside from improving on the CPU architecture of the Ivy Bridge chips, these processors will lengthen the battery life of electronic devices. Meanwhile AMD announced new versions of its APU series, Richland, and gave the first public demonstration of its upcoming fourth generation Kaveri APU chip.

Laptops
One of the highlights of Computex was the unveiling of the Toshiba Qosmio X75. This high-end gaming laptop boasts some seriously impressive hardware, including a quad-core Intel fourth-generation Haswell i7 CPU, 1.25 TB of combined solid state and hard drive disk space, and a built-in NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M GPU.

Asus also announced its innovative Transformer Book Trio at Computex, a hybrid laptop/desktop machine that features both ARM Atom and Intel Haswell processors, and can run Windows 8 and Android operating systems. This model can function as a Windows notebook, an Android tablet, and can be attached to an external monitor to serve as a powerful desktop PC.

Ultrabooks
The ultrabook market is becoming increasingly crowded, which is great news for consumers looking to snap up one of the most powerful laptops on the planet. The Asus Zenbook Infinity raised more than a few eyebrows at Computex, and for good reason. The Zenbook Infinity is among the slimmest ultrabooks available, measuring just 15.5mm at its widest point and incased in Gorilla Glass for additional resistance against scratches. The Acer Aspire S7 is another impressive ultrabook that also features Gorilla Glass on the lid, the Haswell processor and 8GB of RAM. It also improves the battery life of its predecessor to 7 hours.

Tablets
In the tablet category, Acer unveiled the world’s first 8.1 inch Windows 8 tablet, the Iconia W3. This tablet runs on a 1.8 GHz Intel Atom Z2760 dual-core processor, has 2GB RAM and comes in 32GB or 64GB storage versions. Toshiba announced three new tablets – the Excite Pure, Pro and Write. All three tablets have 10-inch displays and run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The Excite Pure is the budget tablet while the Excite Pro boasts premium features and the Excite Write comes with a stylus.
