If budget is a big concern for you, consider this i5-9300H laptop from MSI. I’ve been really impressed with MSI’s laptop offerings. I knocked my 5 year old MSI gaming laptop off of a high table, where it slammed into a concrete floor face first. While I don’t recommend doing this sort of drop test intentionally, my unit still works great to this day.
It comes with a GTX 1650 and 8GB of RAM, as well as a 512 GB NVME SSD. It’s got plenty of fast ports for external storage, including a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, which is about as fast as you can get without moving to Thunderbolt 3.
