Does This Intel Celeron G1620 Work on A AsRock H61m-GE?

According to the ASRock CPU support list on their website, the H61M-GE  will support both the 35 and 55 watt G1620 Intel Celeron CPU's since their P2.0 bios revision.

Height of chip with standard / included cooler installed?  It's going into a case with only 4CM clearance...
I saw somebody say the cooler is small, but HOW small?

Accepted Answer

No, factory fan and heatsink will not fit within a 4 cm clearance space.  You will likely need to buy a custom cooling solution.  I can say the chip performs well for a media center if that's what you're building for.
