What Kind of case will I need? -That depends on the type of board that you use (ATX, Micro ATX, Mini ATX, ect...), and your personal aesthetic appeal. How much Ram will I need with this Intel? -This depends on what you are trying two do with it. In general 4gb should be fine for most applications. Make sure that you buy the sticks in dual channel pairs to take advantage of the extra speed. Also the Intel website states that 1333 is the fastest ram that can be utilized with the G1820. What's a good video card to have with this one? -The G1820 can support on-board video as long as the motherboard supports it. If you need a video card then you are most likely gaming, and the G1820 is probably not the best processor for you. The G1820 works great for HTPC or low end business applications. For gaming you should be looking at the I3 and better. If so what kind of audio card will I need to purchase? -Motherboard audio is fine for almost every application. A audio card is not needed. What name brand of hard drive will I need? -Most drives preform similarly between brands. However, you should chose a brand that has good support, and warranty. The real question is SSD or HDD which really depends on budget and application. What kind of optical drive will I need? -Which ever fits you budget and application. I would suggest the cheapest Blu-ray player you can find. How big of a power supply will I need? -Depends on the components that you have included into your computer. Does the heatsink assembly have thermal compound applied from factory?

Yes, mine did.  Though the factory HS that arrived with mine is all aluminum.  Some of the higher models have a copper core over the CPU, which this one doesn't.

Used this CPU in a build for my son-in law new pc which is running  Windows 7 64 bit. Should have no problems using it as well running Windows 10.

If the motherboard says its socket type is 1150, and the CPU says its socket is 1150, they are compatible. To answer your question, yes they are compatible.

Most of the time it will state there is no fan. Otherwise the fan and thermal paste are in the box. This type of packaging is certain to include the fan and heatsink.

Will it support 1080p without a GPU?

I use it for HTPC builds without discreet graphics cards.  It will support 1080p just fine.  Since the motherboard will not output 4k, that question is irrelevant.  To do 4k, you need a discreet graphics card.

that would be more dependent on your connection speed, but at the same time, its very unlikely. you probably wont something more like an I# or I5 for multicore processing.

What mini ITX mobo would be recommended? Can this CPU run fanless?

Any mini ITX will handle this CPU well. I would recommend either Gigabyte GA-B85N or ASUS H97I-PLUS. I would never run any CPU without a CPU cooler, even the stock one that comes with the CPU is 100x better than running it without one.

Does this have the same igpu as the pentium haswells?

Short answer is yes. Haswell Pentiums and Celerons have HD Graphics (GT1), Core i3 CPUs have HD 4400 (GT2) or HD 4600 (GT2).  Core i5 and i7 processors have HD 4600 (GT2) or Iris Pro 5200 (GT3e), etc.  So within the Haswell micro-architecture there is a bit of variance.

Just search for "Haswell (microarcitechture)" there and you will find it.

Just check the chip number of both you want to compare.
