I was wondering what resolution can it run reliably on it's On-board Graphics, not for gaming but more general use?

I am using it for a media server. I di try it out on a MediaServer at HD 1920x1080 it ran fine. The problem if I was going to record AND watch at the same time it seemed slow - but for general computing it was fine - I used Ubuntu with MythTV. Currently used for FreeNAS.

My motherboard has the 4-pin cpu power connector, and I wanted to make sure that's right

It does not. You can search the CPU on Intel's website it should tell you if it has Hyper-Threading or not.

Looking to build an HTPC (Running Kodi - XBMC under Linux/OpenElec). Need 1080P and bitstream HD audio (TrueHD and DTS-MA). Mostly streaming BD ISO's.

Can anyone recommend a good MoBo (smaller the better)?

has good reviews and is mini itx form factor. Personally I run my HTPC in the basement with an HDMI cable running through the floor to my TV in the living room. RF remote/keyboard. The G1840 is certainly up to running one, mine is running on an old Q6600 rig and the G1840 is rated 90 points higher than that on cpubenchmark.

This is a 64-bit cpu. This isn't detailed on the newegg product page, but if you search for the model number at Intel's website you'll see all of the cpu specifications (including instruction set which is what you're looking for).
