I'm assuming you mean 8GB of RAM. In which case, yes. The amount of RAM you can put into a setup is more so dependent on the motherboard. Make sure that the motherboard is compatible both with the amount and type of RAM you want to use and with the processor you're looking to buy.

There are several other CPU's out there for less that can handle gaming just fine, even better truth be told.  But where the difference will be is improved performance handling multi-threaded applications.  That's where Intel shines.  If you are considering this CPU for gaming only, you will need to invest in dedicated video card.  If this is going to be a general use/office/web computer, it'll be fine as is.

Thanks for your question.  According to the Asus website  , it will work fine.  I use my Sandy Bridge in my office computer with very good results.  Of course, if you're thinking of multitasking, or doing some hard number crunching like Photoshop, you may want to consider an i5 or i7  process.  That said, if you are doing stuff like I do, word processing, or searching the web, this is a great processor.   You'll get a lot of bang for your buck.
