Oh yes! It should be, I had windows 7, upgraded to windows 10 for free since Im a gamer, and D-x 12 is only used on windows 10. I would say yes, it should work for windows 8.1.

This is the Intel Core i5 sandy bridge, Second Generation of processors. I have one in my computer that had operated for several years without a blink. The 1155  socket  work excellent with this. I bought this processor as a refurbished item and the result have been excellent.

More than likely, can't say for sure, most  commonly the RAM comparability is determined by the MOBO

As long as the mobo is using the same socket it should be compatible. In this case the CPU uses a LGA 1155 socket. If the mobo is also 1155 you should be fine.
