No.  The 7th gen processor has a different socket than the 12,13, and 14th gen processors.  If you want to run one of the newer processors, you'll need a new Mobo, Processor Fan, Memory, M.2 Hard Drive, and possibly a new Power Supply.

As far as I'm aware, yes. The other 700k or lower intel chips have either 8 or you get 16 e-cores if you jump up to the 900k series. This is the CPU I bought and it's been great. Temps, even while gaming, with an AIO hang around 30 - 35 celsius, at least that's the temp showing on the AIO.

how is the heat at stock speed with a 360mm rad and will I have to address voltage, I was reading about the 14900k and while I was going to get that I read it ran really hot and may have to adjust the voltage so thinking of this cpu with my new build?

Heat is good but I chose a upgraded cooling solution.  I don't recall if this even came with a stock solution, but I want to say it did not.
