Question 1

I have a Alienware Aura-R3, motherboard is a 046MHW, the current CPU i have is a Intel Core i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 42 Stepping 7. Is this Intel Core i7-3770S Ivy Bridge Quad-Core 3.1GHz CPU compatible with my system?

Accepted Answer

Probably not - as when Ivy Bridge released, Intel put out a new motherboard spec, as well. Your processor is Sandy Bridge and I think you should avoid upgrading it, anyway.
It is still a great performer in games. Overclock your 2500K and you're set. Spend the money on an SSD if you don't already have one.

Question 2

Is it a retail box? And no-open?

Accepted Answer

The one I ordered was in a retail box. I saw no indication it had been opened.

I do not know if the one you are looking at is the same product that I purchased.

These questions should be directed to Newegg customer service and not to a customer like me who does not control what Newegg sells.

That being said, if you are interested in my thoughts on its performance, my own computer configuration, or if I even like it or not, I could tell you these things. Newegg can tell you what they are selling.

Good luck!

Question 3

Will this processor work in the Shuttle DS61 V1.1 Intel H61 2 x 204Pin Black Mini / Booksize Barebone System? or what is a moderately fast cpu that works well with this system? Thank you.

Accepted Answer

I actually bought it to use in a Shuttle SH67H3 and it works extremely well. You can go to the Shuttle web site and enter your model number most likely they list compatible processors and memory for that system. That is how I found out that it would work with mine.

Question 4

Is it a new retail box? and no-open?

Please let me know the condition

Accepted Answer

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us with your question. The item is brand new. It will come closed in the original retail package with manufacturer seal. Normally, if the item was refurbished or open box it would be listed on the product page.

Thank you,
