You cannot upgrade processors on macbooks without a great deal of skill and patience. The processors are soldered to the logic board. Your only option to safely upgrade a processor is to purchase a new logic board with the desired processor and then install it.

No, it only fits in the mobile socket G3 (aka RPGA 946B/RPGA 947), which bears no relation to the LGA1155. You'll probably want something more like the i7-3770K if you already have an LGA1155 motherboard.

There's not really a general answer to that question. It depends on (a) whether the laptop has the right socket, and (b) whether it was designed to handle the power and heat of the higher-performance CPU. Your best bet is to get the OEM manual or spec sheet for your particular laptop (or the configurations it is offered in by the vendor) and see if any of them list this CPU as an option. Because Core mobile sockets change frequently, it almost certainly won't be compatible if this CPU was not on the market when you bought your laptop.

This processor is a Socket G3 (mobile)... there may be some very specialized desktop motherboards that use this socket, and a few high end laptops have desktop sockets, so verify your laptop has a Socket G3/RPGA 946B/RPGA 947 to be sure this processor will be compatible.
