I'm building a rig list for the first time, does the CPU come with a heatsink or do I need to purchase one?

It does not come with a heat sink. However any heat sink that would fit a socket 2011 (Haswell) will fit a 2011 v3 (Haswell-E).

I'm using a Corsair H100i liquid cooler, it does a fantastic job, and there are plenty of air coolers out there that will be fine if you don't plan to OC overly much.

Does this processor have any heat sink or fan or would I need to purchase those separate?

No it does not come with a heat sink or fan. Yes you do need to purchase one separately. Take a look at the self contained water-cooling they work awesome for over clocking.

Do 64 bit CPU's  require a different motherboard than 32 bit CPU's?

does it have a intergrated gpu, if it does what is it?

Hey,

I do not think this comes with any integrated graphics.  I think the next generation cpu will introduce iris (but i could be very wrong so if someone can correct me that would be great.)

Honestly this thing is a beast and should be matched with a decent graphics card.

how many ram sticks does this support? some CPUs say the only support one DIMM per channel.

Running 8... 8mb sticks to equal 64 mb on asus deluxe 2011-3 mother board .Its the most memory the board supports .New board I have is an asus deluxe 2011 v3 #2  ... same cpu running 128 memory this board supports more memory  with window 10 .. Both boards work great with the full amount of memory with good performance

would this cpu be good for streaming and gaming?

Streaming doesn't rely as heavily on the processor as gaming.  It is a good processor for gaming.  But for best results you need a high quality mother board, sufficient ram and a high quality video card (or cards).  And the monitor can make a difference to a gaming experience, too.

Is a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO or a DEEPCOOL GAMMAXX 400 CPU Cooler 4 Heat pipes 120mm PWM Fan sufficient to keep this processor at adequate performance temps?

I use the 212 EVO and have the CPU OCed to 4.2GHz.  Haven't had any issues.

No.  The 5960x and 5820k do not have heatsinks and fans either.

How much better is this cpu then mine.  Would I need to upgrade I am running 2 gtx 980s and my cpu is (i7-4770k 3.50GHZ)

would I see a performance increase playing on a 4k monitor?

The i7-4770 is a pretty fast chip. You would not see much of a boost. Games are GPU intensive, so you would been to perform a graphics card upgrade. Monitor your CPU usage during gaming. You will see that the CPU rarely gets close to 100%. Even during the most intensive action sequences, my 5930k rarely goes over 28%. However, my 295x2 stays at 100% GPU usage. Do some research to see if a 3rd 980 would give you a speed boost for less money than a 5930k

I would like to know if this is compatible with my socket 1150 Intel Z97 socket?

No this is not, you need to have an x99 motherboard with a 2011-3 socket, this requires ddr4 as well.
