This boxed CPU comes with the heat sink, fan and mounting clips to attach directly to the motherboard. The heat sink has the thermal transfer material already applied as well.

Hi what kind of motherboards can i use this on, anyone have a rule of thumb of when trying to pick out a cpu and a motherboard as far as compatabilty wise?

I bought GIGABYTE GA-H61M-HD2 LGA 1155 Intel H61 HDMI Micro ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS to match with the Intel Pentium. It seems working good so far. I just followed the recommendation on the web page when I ordered the Intel CPU at Newegg.
