Should I buy thermal paste in addition to this, or is there some with it?

It had some on the fan that came with it, but if you are not using the stock fan, you will need some of your own. Having a little thermal paste sitting around is never a bad thing anyway.

Question 2

If I install this in a motherboard that has it's own on-board graphics, can I disable the on-chip graphics and just use the motherboards?  If I can do that, would that make the CPU run cooler?  Thanks.

Not to my knowledge, although this may be achieved through the motherboard BIOS settings to disable the on board GPU by changing it to default to an installed graphics card. But there is no way to the best of my knowledge to disable a graphics embedded CPU types. This CPU is not able to be clocked by default, under clocking would relieve some heat but sacrifices performance and your CPU or motherboard may not be compatible for clocking.

Chipset is dictated by the motherboard, not the CPU. 1150 socket type motherboards typically have 8 and 9 series chipsets
