How does this processor run windows 8?  Is it adequate?

It is definitely adequate enough to run Windows 8. I built a machine for my little brother using this processor and there have been no issues. The only thing I would highly recommend is a video card to pair it with. I tested the onboard graphics and it provides basic functions (web browsing, word processing), but will not perform well with and HD video display or gaming. It cannot push out high resolutions and all processing slows when you try. I had it paired with an HD7770 and it's made for a really high quality budget machine.

dual core means having 2 core, core 2 duo is one series of processor that are dual core, there are others such as current i3, and i5 mobile that are also dual core.

this processor i fixed in MSI motherboard . after i installed window 7 Ultimate 
everything is OK. but HD videos is cannot play on youtube in IE 9 . Why ?
I tried with G2020 is can . I using MSI motherboard model is H61M-P31/W. Please resolve my problem.
