Question 1

Can anyone tell me please how many Hard Drives can be connected with this Raid Card? What is the maximum capacity of hard Drive? Can I plug in 8 TB HD with this Card? If so how do I connect them? Do I need to buy extra SAS to SATA interface cable to do so?

It looks like two mini-SAS ports x 4 drives per port = 8 drives that can be connected to this card. I don't know about drive capacity but I can tell you that you'd need two SFF-8087 cables to connect all eight drives.  SFF-8087 cables have a mini-SAS connector on one end (which plugs into the RAID card) and 4 SAS/SATA data connectors on the other end (for connecting the hard drives). The drives must be powered through your computer's internal SATA power connectors (or if your computer has the older 4-pin molex power connectors then you can use molex to SATA adapter cables).

If this is a SATA RAID controller, why are there SAS ports?

I believe that a single SAS port can be expanded to handle 4 SATA disks. If the card does not have the SAS to SATA cable, then you need to buy that as a separate item. It appears this may not be a true SAS controller as the specs say it only handles SATA. Did you look at the Adaptec cards?
