The Intel RAID Controller SRCSASBB8I offers hardware RAID data protection and maximum design flexibility. With a true MD2 low-profile form factor, the SRCSASBB8I allows system builders to attach SAS and SATA hard drives within servers of many form factors. Support for RAID 6 and 60 strengthens data protection capabilities by ensuring data integrity, even if two drives fail simultaneously. This controller also delivers outstanding availability with proactive drive monitoring and automatic error correction, and includes an optional battery backup that maintains data without the need for an uninterruptible power supply.
Excellent PerformanceLSI SAS1078 ROC technology, PCI Express x8 host interface and 256 MB ECC DDR2 667 MHz cache enhance the performance of mainstream applications.
Exceptional Data ProtectionSupports data redundancy using SAS or SATA hard disk drives through mirroring, parity, and double parity (RAID levels 1, 5, and 6), plus striping capability for spans (RAID levels 10, 50, and 60).
BBU SupportThis adapter supports Intel Smart Battery AXXRSBBU6 to maintain data in the event of power or server failure, eliminating the need for an additional bulky uninterruptible power supply.
Hot SpareIncludes global hot spare support that automatically comes online to replace the first drive to fail on any array or disk group on the controller.
