Featuring a local sending unit and a remote receiving unit, the GH8211EK powered HD Video/Audio Extender extends HD video/audio and IR signals through two CAT5e/6 cables. It is ideal for home installation, retrofitting, retail environments, showrooms and conference centers where remote displays are required. The HD Extender System is also useful for control and security purposes: you can place the system unit in a secure area, while at the same time view the display from a more convenient location.

High-Quality Video/Audio/IR ExtenderConnected via two Category 5e/6 Ethernet cables, the GH8211EK HD extends the distance between a 1080p media source and an HD display unit. With 3D support, the extended distance is up to 130 feet*; and at 1080i resolution, the extended distance is up to 196 feet*. The HDMI extender supports Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, and IR of 36Khz/38Khz /40Khz frequencies, for great IR control. (*Extension range may vary with different devices and CAT5e/6 cables).
Ease of usePlug 'n Play – with no software needed – the GH8211EK offers exceptional convenience for users. You can manually adjust the video equalization to accommodate for long distance runs. The remote receiving unit comes with an HDMI out interface, and is also backwards-compatible with DVI devices with an HDMI-to-DVI adapter (Via HDMI Female to DVI Male Adapter - Part N° GHDFDVIMW6).
