Hey is there a external disc drive? If not how do you install windows

There is no preinstalled external disc drive because this is a modern case. In order to install Windows you would have to buy the USB drive and use that to download Windows 10. There of course is the option of removing the top 200mm fan to install a disc drive but this defeats the entire purpose of the case. It’s designed and actually does work by heavily cooling the CPU with its two, 200mm fans. I highly recommend this case, it does an immense amount of cooling on my overclocked 5.0 ghz i7 8700K. I’d only recommend this for high end and medium-high end builds.

The Core of the Computer Case is built extremely well. This is what made the return of the product very hard for me to do. When a quality company who usually distributes a great product decides to go on-the-cheap for exterior aesthetics, is a major letdown and should not be accepted for the current asking price.

Is there a meshified version of this case?

Not that I am aware of. The sides of the front and top panel are open with mesh how ever the front facing panel and top are a plastic plexi.

My temperatures have not suffered from this though. CPU never goes over 40C under load while liquid cooled.

I don't know if this input will be of any help, but I pulled out the stock 200mm front fans (they wobbled and I didn't want that) and replaced them with 200mm Cooler Master red LED fans.

I also have 3 140mm fans installed on the top, and I have to say it is a VERY quiet setup.

What fans come pre-installed?

Pretty much what you see. 2x200mm fans in the front, and 1x140mm in the rear. All three are low noise fans, and there is ample room for liquid cooling on the top. You'll need to order what best matches the cooling needs of your CPU and GPU(s).

Question 6

will a Fractal 360MM radiator fit this case ? what color is the led fans ? they look purple but not sure...

The h500p supports a 360mm radiator with a maximum of 55mm in thickness on top and you can also swap the fans out and mount the radiator on the front as well. The LEDS depicted in the case are purple however the fans support rgb if you have rgb headers on you motherboard or if you have a rgb header hub. So really once you download the software and have them hooked up properly you can have them any color you want. The case however does not come with a way to connect these lights so like I said you'll either need rgb connectors on your motherboard or an rgb hub.

Have the changes made to the Mesh White version been applied to the Gunmetal version?

No. If you want a gunmetal version you're better off buying the white and spray painting the plastic. If you intend to do that be sure to dismantle it carefully where needed and remove the mesh screens. Rub down the plastic surfaces to be painted with medium or fine grit sand paper and wash with isopropyl alcohol. The oils in plastics like this prevent paint from holding well. This scrub and wash dries the surface for painting.

Where can i buy the mesh cover to replace the front cover?

I don’t believe they made a replacement for the orig. case since release. They did redesign it and it’s called an H500m. If your looking for better air into the case, pull the 200mm and put 3@140mm in the recessed area. Unless you find a material on your own. Cut out the clear plastic

Question 9

i plan on buying the corsair LL rgb fans and they come with their RGB module (lightening node). Will the corsair RGB module work with this case's front fans? I just learned that I need a RGB controller to change the lighting for front fan on this case (wtf). Or will I need a separate controller on top of the corsair one? Thanks

If you are going to do RGB why not buy any of the one billion different 2017/2018 motherboards that all come with a built in RGB controller so you can sync the case fans with the RGB lighting on your case.  If you use a separate controller there is no telling whether it can sync the lighting between everything.  I’m sure that’s why CM didn’t bother including a controller and I’m glad they didn’t.

Question 10

I was looking at the video in the description and saw that they had a radiator along with a 400 mm fan at the top panel, did they stack a radiator below the 400 mm  fan at the top? or is it just a radiator and then a 400 mm fan to cover the remaining left over space?

Hello here is the best answer that I can help you with. All the videos that I have seen with the stock 200mm fans have been in front of the radiator top and front. I still see that there are three 120mm or 140mm fans mounted to the back of the radiator to ensure proper air flow being pulled over the fins of the radiator. I would also suggest to wait for the release of the Cooler Master H500M this year. The company made some upgrades to this case design by listening to people who have owned the H500P case.
