How would you judge the screen quality?

For the price its not bad.  But, Its not terribly fast and has very low memory.  I wouldn't purchase this expecting a millennium falcon. I got it for my 7 year old niece.  She complains about its speed.  ;-)

One reviewer complained that the box stated 8Gb of memory and his unit only showed 4.2Gb.
Generally these type tablets give the memory installed before the OS takes the memory it needs as well as the pre loaded apps which eat into the advertised memory. I do agree however that the above board way to show memory would be something like 8Gb/4.1Gb  before after. But it is what it is. Most likely we were all 'had' on the ?advertised memory issue at one point or another with small electronics and learn quickly how to interpret the reported numbers.

This is correct - the one thing I do like about this tablet is the SD card slot where you can add to the total capacity very economically to the tablet unlike some other fruit related tablets where once you commit to a model you are stuck

I use mine mostly for reading (Kindle) and for email in the evenings.  I can go several evenings on one charge with the wi-fi on all the time.

I looked and looked for reviews for this tablet.. The only ones that i could find were at an online wall-mart store or something.. I saw 4 and 5 star reviews though..

This has wifi. Every tablet has wifi.

Does this include normal Android GPS functionality?

if you mean locations services based on wifi.  yes it does not have onboard GPS.  would need constant wifi or phone hotspot to use for navigation.
