The JacobsParts LM2596 DC to DC Voltage Regulator is a high-efficiency buck converter, perfect for a variety of electronic projects. This superior module is designed with thick circuit boards, high-Q inductors, output LED indicator, and solid-state capacitors, which enable it to effectively filter out high-frequency noise.
This voltage regulator has an input voltage range of DC 3.2V to 35V, ensuring that the input voltage is 1.5V higher than the output voltage. It has an adjustable output voltage range of DC 1.25V to 30V, with a maximum output current of 3A. Offering short circuit and over-temperature protection, these voltage regulators are both reliable and easy to use.
The compact size of the JacobsParts LM2596 Voltage Regulator measures only 45 x 23 x 14 mm (with potentiometer). Although small, these step-down modules are powerful, ensuring a peak conversion efficiency of 92%.
Easily DIY your power source by connecting the LM2596 to it and using a mini screwdriver to adjust the voltage. Turn the screw on the blue potentiometer clockwise to increase voltage and counterclockwise to decrease voltage. Monitor the voltage with a multimeter to achieve the desired output. The factory default is set at a high voltage, so you may need to adjust the potentiometer counterclockwise 7-15 circles before the voltage begins to decrease.
