JetWay JNC62K-LF AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 8200 Mini ITX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Works great with a X2 4850e. Strap a 2gig memory stick and have fun with the massive number of USB ports. Amazingly this thing has a ps2 port for a keyboard. Dual nic ports, and DVI and analog ports for video. NV 8200 integrated graphics is faster than even the x3100 intel.

Cons: Only has a PCI slot, no PCI express.

Overall Review: Wonderful system with a WD notebook drive, 2gig value ram and a 4850e total power draw at load was only 60w

Pros: The BIOS for this mobo supports AMD's "Cool n Quiet" technology, even though it is not advertised in any of the documentations or Jetway's website. Looking through the BIOS and found that the board comes with "Cool n Quiet" automatically enabled from the factory. After downloading "AMD Processor Driver Version 1.3.2.0053 for Windows XP" from the AMD website, "Cool n Quiet" loaded up and was functioning as designed. Prior to "Cool n Quiet" the CPU was running at full 2.6 Ghz operating at 42 degrees C at idle. The CPU fan was running at about 1500 rpm under Jetway's "MY Guard" temperature/fan control. After "Cool n Quiet" install the CPU is now running at under 1 Ghz, below 29 degree C and the CPU fan does not even kick on at idle. Wohoo, what a big difference in overall system temp and power savings before and after "Cool n Quiet"

Cons: Poor documentation or mobo software support on Jetway's part. They could have provided "Cool n Quiet" drivers in the CD provided.

Pros: Small but powerful. I'm running this with an AMD Athlon X2 4850e 2.5GHz Socket AM2 45W Dual. Everything runs much faster than my old P4 3.0. Garmin mobile comes up instantly. Not like before when it took 5 to 10 seconds to pop up. This board and chip is so fast I’m running Vista with it. 2 GB memory stick.

Cons: The one thing I had problems with was installing windows. The board would not recognize my SATA drive as a boot option. I had to do a bios update, once that was done everything was fine. Wasted too much time before I thought about doing a bios update.

Overall Review: I recommend this board to anyone who has a carpc. It's fat and doesn't use allot of power. I'm thinking about buying another for the future. That's how good it is.

Pros: The mobo is good and small. It is a great match to the APEX MW-100 Black Metal with piano finish Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case and all the additional things like the heatsink and fan saves a lot of hassle.

Cons: The chipset is really new so open source Nvidia drivers didn't exist at the time that I got it. I was able to use the Open Source video drivers on Mythbuntu. That may not be a problem for everyone and it may be resolved in the future. I also have to use all_generic_ide to install mythbutntu on the system

Overall Review: The 2.6.25 kernel, and nvidia 173.14.5 drivers should resolve the problems.

Pros: Easy to install/set up, good layout, plenty usb ports. Good features, nice running board.

Cons: Cheaply made components. Case adapter needed to be tweaked to make it stay in the case. Included cables long enough for server case(18 inch SATA cables). Adapter needed to install SATA optical drive.

Overall Review: The DVI port is socket mounted, not soldered. A small sideways movement is enough to rip the connector from its socket. The metal surround for the video ports is too thin to offer any support. The connector can be re-inserted in its socket, but some motherboard disassembly is necessary. I used superglue when installing a new socket. If you destroy the pins as I did, a new socket can be had google '29 Pin Integrated Right Angle DVI Socket Connector' cheap.

Pros: I love this motherboard and the level of control allowed in the bios, this ultimately allowed me to underclock and undervolt a quad-core processor and put it in a very small iStarUSA S3 case. Note: I am NOT and wouldn’t use the S3’s stock power supply in a configuration like mine, as it is not powerful enough (the underclock was for thermal reasons not power reasons).

Cons: This board is only single channel, so if your processor supports 1066 MHz DDR2 (as mine does) I would recommend going with that to make the most of it.

Overall Review: If you know what you’re doing this is a great board; if not it’s still a great board but leave the bios alone, as it will not stop you from frying your processor if you so choose.

Pros: lots of USB ports

Cons: Better documentation would be helpful.

Overall Review: Be sure to install AMD Processor driver and change power settings to enable Cool'n'quiet technology. Have not discovered any problems with USB, although I have only used Keyboard/Mouse and not removable storage so far. Pros: Perfect! this is exactly what I needed. I'm running this as a Windows7 MCE DVR and it's running HD quality video without a problem. I was surprised that I was able to get a fully functional DVR setup in a day without a single driver issue.

Cons: only minor issue I had was that the front audio connector is right next to the pci port so I had to bend it out a little so that I could fully seat my capture card.

Overall Review: FYI. Running the Rosewill RC-CIX-01 BK Glossy Black Steel Cube Mini-ITX Computer Case with 1 gig of ram and managed to cram two hd's in the case.
