Pros: i bought two acer notebook with 256mb. so i bought two kingmax 516mb. as everyone say on the web, both of them work excellent. if you want to buy a memory card for you notebook, please may sure the ram is right model for your computer.
Comments: I bought this chip for an HP zv6000 notebook running Windows XP with an AMD Sempron 3000+. Most laptops, including mine, only come with 256MB of RAM, which really doesn't cut it for multi-tasking. The chip arrived on time and free of defects. Installing this chip was incredibly easy, once I knew what I was doing (laptop memory installation can be a little different from some models of desktop PCs and you might want to look up some directions if you’ve never done it before). After installing the chip my computer immediately recognized the extra RAM and loaded Windows XP much faster, although it only recognizes 736MB of the 768MB of RAM installed, which I’m told is pretty normal. So far I haven't had any problems with this chip. The extra RAM makes everything run much more smoothly, and the price and quality is unbeatable. I’m very impressed with the product and I recommend it to anyone that needs a memory upgrade on a budget.
Comments: Works awsome in my Acer Aspire laptop. Boosted the start up speed and the overall performance of the computer. Would recommend to all!
Comments: This one worked great on my Acer Aspire laptop! Highly recommended!
Comments: Well I just received 2x512MB of this RAM.
As usual newegg/fedex got it here a day early, but...
I received RAM with 6ns chips, not 5ns as is shown in the image.
So the timings are 6-3-3-2.5 and not the 8-4-2-2 in the product description. I may RMA if there's a possibility of getting the 5ns type.
Also, when first installed my IBM wouldn't POST. I then removed 1 stick and swapped DIMM slots with the other. The machine then POSTed and recognized the RAM. I reinstalled the 2nd stick and have no further prob's.
IBM A31P (845MP chipset)
2x512MB Kingmax PC2700
ATI Fire GL....
Pros: none - didn't work.
Cons: My Dell Inspiron wouldn't even post with this memory installed. To make things worse, this memory is non-refundable and non-replaceable from newegg.com.
Overall Review: After some research, I've read that the Inspiron 1100 is picky with memory. I've tried AData memory as well and didn't have any luck.
